The statue is carved in sitting posture and it is sitting on a stone chair.
2. How were the hands of the statue carved?
One stone hand he rests on his knee; with the other stone hand he points at the narrator.
3. What do you think is the age of the narrator of the poem?
I think the age of the narrator is between seven to eleven years.
4. How do we know that the person depicted in the statue was a great person?
Quote the line(s) from the poem.
We come to know the statue was a great person because the narrator tells us that he is great, he is good and he has done great things a great while ago. The only thing the narrator does not know what those great things are.
5. Why does the narrator feel that the statue wishes to speak to him?
The statue point his fingers at the narrator and looks at him in just that way; so, the narrator feels that the statue wishes to speak to him.

Statues, pictures and verses reminds us a lot about them. They are build so that we remember them for a long time. It has long lasting impact in our memories. Therefore the noble and great people, place, verses and monuments are made everlasting by creating or duplicating their replicas and memories.
2. Why do people make statues? Where are they displayed usually?
People make statues to remember those great person for their deeds and service they gave when they were alive. By making statues they show them the respect they deserve. These statues are placed in such places where everyone can see them. So people find marketplace, road side, park, garden, road crossing etc. to be the best places to keep the statues.
