blowing a horn thrice, in a quick succession, Robin summoned his gang in the

The men blindfolded Sheriff and escorted him inside the forest. This method was adopted so that the outlaws could not traced in anyway.

He allowed his men to keep not more than they need and the rest they gave to the poor folk of the countryside.

D. THINK AND ANSWER.
1. Why did Robin sell the meat at a price lower than that offered by other butchers?
By
selling the meat at a price lower than that offered by other butchers, Robin Hood
was able to attract everyone in the market and when Sheriff passed through that
road, he too came there.
2. How do you think the butcher felt when he received such a handsome amount from Robin Hood? Write a short paragraph on his reaction. Write it in the first person.
The poor butcher would definitely be happy and grateful to Robin. I am sure this would change his life hereafter. We see him thanking Robin addressing him as sir. He wishes Lord’s blessings upon Robin for his generosity.
E. DISCUSS IN CLASS
Robin Hood robbed the rich and gave to the poor. What is your opinion about this course of action?
We all know robbing is not a good act. However he is surely the saviour of the poor who suffers as the rich prosper without having any concern for the poor. There is no one to look after the poor. The poor till the land and the rich was becoming fat from its gains. Hence he robbed the rich and gave everything to the poor who need them the most.
