SUBJECT AND
PREDICATE
SUBJECT:
Subject is defined as a noun or a
pronoun according to which the verb is set. It the subject is singular the verb
is singular and if the subject is plural, the verb is plural.
PREDICATE:
What is said about the subject is
the predicate. It is the remaining part of the sentence other that the subject.
It may contain one or more words. It must have a verb.

1. There are many flowers in my garden.
Subject: Many flowers
Predicate: there are in my garden.
2. All of you must find a solution of this
exercise.
Subject: All of you
Predicate: must find a solution of this exercise.
3. Mumbai
is the business capital of India.
4. Books
are printed on recycled paper.
5. The
wind screen is made up of solid glass.
6. Information technology is a boon for
education.
7. We invited a troupe of dancers for the wedding
function.
8. Employment
is the need for every young person.
9. Dhoni is a sportsman of cool temperament.
10. Rice is mainly eaten in South
India.
11. I booked a suit of two rooms.
12. Slavery system is still
prevalent in the world in subtle forms.
13. Nobita is a popular character
of the cartoon serial Doraemon.
14. Ignorance of nature is
bringing destruction.
15. I have visited an orchard
many times.
