D. Discuss in class.
1. This made the younger lot more determined. When someone is asked
not to do something, he/she becomes more determined to do it. Why is that so?
When the young artist,
Kishanlal came to market, the followers of old times said, "Arre! What a
bad taste!" So, he did not have a wonderful entry in the market. Some
criticized him, but that did not stop him from doing his making dolls. The
more people criticized him; the more he worked harder to improve his
dolls. Finally these dolls were in huge demand. That is the secret of success,
'never to give up'.
2. The old must give way to the new. Express your thoughts on this
proverb.
Things are not the same. As
the time passes sometimes people's choice, option and taste change. That is how
the new things come into existence. In order to grow things need to be changed.
If we do not welcome new ideas and art, the old instead of renewing itself
will become outdated.
