LIST OF MODAL VERBS WITH USES AND EXAMPLES
Modal verbs are helping verbs used with main verbs to express ability, possibility, permission, obligation, advice, necessity, certainty, etc.

Modals do not take “-s” or “-ed.” 
 ❌ He cans swim. → ✅ He can swim.
