Waste management and
segregation are the need of the hour because cities and localities need to be
waste free. Waste and garbage do not promote healthy life. Most often, they are
the source of pollution, illness and infectious diseases. Hence in order to be
safe, healthy and sound in life it is necessary to stay away from harmful
garbage.
b. Thayammal is also
known as Marangalin Thayar. Elaborate with reference from the passage.

All four personalities, even after their retirement from their job or service, have defied that ‘age is just a number’ by moving and working wholeheartedly in the direction that benefits others more than themselves. Coming to the old age, when people think of retirement and rest; these four personalities decided to work more proactively towards social causes like waste management, feeding the hungry, and making Earth clean and green, which are fruitful today and tomorrow. For them age is not a limitation.
